Dive Into Data
Grants Managers and Executives can use Einstein Analytics dashboards to get a complete view of the agency’s current grants. This arms them with key insights to drive decision making throughout the application and review process. They can spot trends and take action to improve and enhance their agency operations.

Effectively Manage Grants
Agencies are often challenged by the task of fulfilling their mission while efficiently managing the grant process lifecycle, making grants management varied and complex. Salesforce provides the tools needed to manage any type of resource allocation and other application-based process. With budgeting, reporting, training, and support, Salesforce’s customisable solutions can support the government’s evolving grants management lifecycle.

Provide Self-Service
Salesforce Communities enables agencies to solicit and process grant applications online with a branded applicant portal. Here applicants can manage the whole lifecycle of the grant from their applications to awards, projects, and even reporting through this secured environment. Applicants can also see resources and find the answers they need with a rich knowledge base, helping them serve themselves and reduce case loads for the agency.

Easily Submit Applications
Through the use of multi-step forms, applicants can fill out their contact information, project, and eligibility. At any point in the application, applicants can reference help articles or contact a representative through the support button.

Upload Documents
Often, applicants are required to submit numerous documents, specify project activities, the equipment needed, and the funds requested. Using Lightning Components, they can easily upload files and submit all required information. When all information is completed, the applicant can submit the application.

Streamline Workflows
Grants Specialists start their day with an overview of all new grant applications for review. Upon opening up the grant application in Salesforce, they can see a path at the top of the page with the status, details, and all attachments. Then, they can assign members roles and permissions, fostering a collaborative environment. After ensuring the application is ready, the specialist can move the application to “External Review.”

Quickly Review Applications
External reviewers have a different view in the Grant Community Portal, which is designed to streamline the review process.
In the notification section on the top right, and through the Open Tasks list, it is easy for reviewers to see their next review.
They can see a dashboard of open applications with their current scores. Reviewers can select the task that has been assigned and quickly get to work.

View Application Details
Reviewers have total access to the applications so they have all the information needed to make a fair review. They open up a new scoring sheet to input their review.
After the review of the scoring sheet, they can submit for internal review.

Digitise Paper-Based Processes
After internal review is completed and the grantee is selected, the grantee is automatically notified of their award and needs to sign acceptance documents. Through integration with Electronic Signature software, such as DocuSign or CongaSign, a traditionally manual, paper-based process, has been digitised. The grant specialist can add the document, specify the recipient(s) and personalise the email message.

Track Progress Reports
After the grant acceptance and signature, grantees can go back into the community and monitor the award. They will receive updates regarding the status of the documents and can submit progress reports and track financials.
